Emberfall Saga is the rare mobile RPG where the writing does the heavy lifting. You lead a small band of exiles across a crumbling kingdom, and the choices you make early echo into who joins you later and who walks away. I replayed the first act twice just to see a different companion arc.
Combat is turn-based with a positioning twist, so flanking and cover matter more than raw stats. Progression is generous without being mindless; you pick a handful of meaningful upgrades each level instead of drowning in tiny percentages.
It asks for patience in places, and the UI could be cleaner on smaller screens. But the moment a quiet side quest paid off three chapters later, I was fully sold.
